SOCCER: Congratulations to Silchester men's soccer team, who recently reached the final of the Basingstoke Junior B Cup.

They beat Sherfield 3-1 in extra time.

The final will be played at the Camrose in Basingstoke at a date to be arranged in March.

AUCTION: On Saturday, February 17, in the hall, from 10am.

TEA dance: Yes, the real kind, with special teas to drink and cakes to eat, dancing and music to listen to.

Tickets cost £8, and are available from me on the number above.

It is on Sunday, March 11, in the village hall, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

PHOENIX Club: Meets in the club room at 2.15pm on Wednesday, February 7. The speaker will be Debbie Rist, on holistic massage.
