Chineham

From the archive, first published Tuesday 30th Jan 2007.

PARISH council: The January meeting spent some time discussing the recent spate of truly hideous graffiti around Chineham.

The rapid-response warden and one of the parish councillors are to receive training from the borough council in order to undertake speedy removal of offensive material.

The parish council has taken steps to provide a parish council notice board in north Binfields but is currently facing a bureaucratic quagmire to achieve this.

AGM: The annual general meeting of the Chineham Village Hall management committee takes place on Monday, February 26.

At this, the reports and accounts for the year ending December 31, 2006, will be presented and up to 10 members for the committee of management will be elected.

If you are a Chineham resident, aged over 18, and are keen to contribute to the committee's work, then you can stand for this election.

A nomination form is available in January's Chineham Chat and must be completed in full and handed in by February 15.

CHRIST Church: Regular Sunday services at Christ Church are held at 9am and 10.30am.

The Adventurers (Sunday School) meets during the 10.30am services.
