Oakridge/South View

From the archive, first published Tuesday 30th Jan 2007.

TRAVEL tokens: If you receive free bus passes or travel tokens from the borough council, they can be collected on Thursday, February 8, at Oakridge Hall for All, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

I would remind you that these passes and tokens are not valid until April 1.

POLISH community: I am trying to make contact with members of the Polish community in Oak-ridge, as there must be people who want to form a social group.

Do let me know if you would like to organise one.

Nisa, your local store, sells Polish food and newspapers and has a cheque-cashing system.

BUS shelter: I recently saw the new bus shelter at the stop beside Coronation Road in Norn Hill.

It looks very good, and should keep us all dry in the rainy weather.

CROSSING patrol: There is a new crossing patrol close to the Methodist Church - it is some time since the last one left, so please use it for everyone's safety.

CONTACT me: On the above number or e-mail me at blairman@ntlworld.com with any news.
